I'm looking for a windows software for Face-recognition. I have several celebrity fotos whitout further information.

Does anyone know a service or software where I could open/upload such a picture and then get the information about the person or even the location where the picture was taken?

I so hope Google buys out TinEye and then adds every single image to their index. It's so frustrating to get no matches to your search when you just know you've seen a HQ somewhere before! Very Happy

In terms of the 'reverse image search,' I think TinEye is unique. Your next best bet may be to upload the pics to the Requests forum here.

Maybe their whole plan is to be bought by Google. Maybe the software does absolutely nothing, except look like it probably does something that Google would want to buy.

I just put the forum logo into the right side of Tineye and it found 5 pages of matches. Strangely, the matching algorithm is not perturbed by changes in contrast, aspect, and even some cropping.
